Message Yes turbo blankets do retain heat in the turbo but it's directly related to how hard you run the car. If you run the hell out of the car and shut it off then you'll have issues, if you shut down properly then you will be fine. For those that haven't had experience with turbo blankets and are afraid of what they read here or there, can ether make custom heat shields or not use any.
